Just a short note: Microsoft has released Update KB3035583 for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1. The purpose: Prepare W7/8.1 systems for Windows 10 upgrade.

On my German Windows 7 SP1 this update was flagged as important – as you can see in the screenshot.
But some users are commenting within my German blog, that the flag depends on the machine – some of their machines receives KB3035583 as an important and some as an optional update. Nevertheless: If you won't or can't upgrade to Windows 10, fire up control panel, search for updates and hide update KB3035583.
