Security specialists from WordFence has discovered a botnet running on WordPress installations. The developer tries to inject the code for the bots into WordPress sites. WordFence firewall has deteted this intrusion attempts. The botnet has been used for DDOS attacs and inserting SEO spam to websites. Analyzing the bots code revealed the idendity of the botnet operator – who is suspected to be German hacker. Details may be read within the WordFence blog post Hacking a WordPress Botnet
