Microsoft has released April 2017 evaluation editions of Windows 10 as VMs for developers. Here are a few details.
The announcement has been made within the Windows blog in an article, titled Just released – Windows developer evaluation virtual machines – April 2017 build. The virtual machine (VM) images are available for Hyper-V, Parallels, VirtualBox and VMWare.
- Windows 10 Creators Update – Enterprise Evaluation, Version 1703
- Visual Studio 2017 with the Universal Windows Platform (15063 SDK) and Azure workflows enabled
- Windows UWP samples (March 2017 Update)
- Windows Subsystem for Linux
All downloads are available within Windows Dev Center. The evaluation editions will expire on July 7, 2017. The Windows Dev Center provides also licensed VM versions. Then a Windows 10 Pro key for activation is required. (via)
