[German]Microsoft has released the upgrade brakes for Windows 11 21H2 as of January 26, 2023, and generally released the feature update to version 22H2, which was released in November 2022. Starting on the aforementioned date, Microsoft will begin automatically upgrading consumer and unmanaged versions of Windows 11 Home and Pro to Windows 11 22H2. However, the whole thing will be done in waves.
Microsoft believes that Windows 11 22H2 is ready for widespread use and has announced the general upgrade release on the Release Health status page of Windows 11 21H2 in an addendum dated January 26, 2023.
Microsoft says, they will begin automatically updating home and unmanaged business devices running Windows 11, version 21H2 Home and Pro editions to Windows 11, version 22H2. The automatic update to Windows 11, version 22H2, will be phased in for machines that are compatible.
Microsoft will begin the feature upgrade with the machines that have been running version 21H2 the longest. Later, more Windows 11 machines running version 21H2 will receive the feature upgrade to version 22H2. Users will have the option to choose a convenient time to reboot the device to complete the update.
For those who want to upgrade to Windows 11, version 22H2 immediately, open the Windows Update settings and select Check for updates. Provided the device is ready for the upgrade and there are no compatibility issues, the option to download and install the feature update to Windows 11, version 22H2, will be displayed.
If Microsoft determines that the device in question may have a problem with the upgrade, for example with compatibility, Microsoft sets an upgrade blocker. In this case, the update will not be installed automatically until the problem is fixed.
