[German]The developers of Thunderbird have released another update of the email client to version 115.4 on October 24, 2023 (thanks to reader for the tip). It is an update, which is supposed to fix some bugs, as well as contains some new features. A short time later the fixed security fixes were released as 115.4.1.

The new Thunderbird version includes the following bug fixes:

- The "From" address could be edited when creating a new message from a template if the account identity contained Unicode characters.
- The "Reply to list" option was always enabled even if there was no list to reply to.
- The "Archive" button in the message area was enabled for messages that could not be archived.
- Multiple draft messages or message templates could not be opened for editing at the same time.

Addendum: The update to Thunderbird 115.4 was not rolled out (only available via FTP), the 115.4.1 with bugfixes should come today. The colleagues from deskmodder.de have written something here.
Can't stand the new interface-made the decision to stick with 102 for the present. From the 20+ laundry list of issues above, I feel somewhat vindicated.
Look, it's just an email program; does it have to contain a planner, have a chat feature, walk, talk, encourage you to exercise, get you coffee and play "The Stars and Stripes Forever" while doing all of these??
