I had already reported on an update to the Chrome browser in the article Google Chrome 118.0.5993.15 and 119.6045.199/.200 on November 29, 2023. The update fixed various vulnerabilities. One reader already referred to a Microsoft note from Nov. 28, 2023 via a comment (thanks for that), which states "Microsoft is aware of the recent exploits existing in the wild. We are actively working on releasing a security patch." This patch is now available (thanks to the reader for the second hint).
