Windows 10 Preview Update KB5041582
Cumulative Preview Update KB5041582 is available for Windows 10 version 22H2 (all versions). The support article KB5041582 contains a list of fixes that Microsoft has specified for the update (these will be included in the security update for the following month).
- [Input Method Editor (IME)] When a combo box has input focus, a memory leak might occur when you close that window.
- [Country and Operator Settings Asset] This update brings COSA profiles up to date for certain mobile operators.
- [Bluetooth] An app stops responding because of a memory leak in a device.
- [Bind Filter Driver] Your system might stop responding when it accesses symbolic links.
- [Unified Write Filter (UWF) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)] An SCCM task to re-enable UWF fails because of a deadlock in UWF. This stops the device from restarting when you expect it.
The update is optional and is offered via Windows Update if the user explicitly searches for updates on the Settings page and then selects the optional update for download and installation. The update can also be downloaded and installed from the Microsoft Update Catalog. The latest Servicing Stack Update (SSU) is integrated. Microsoft lists known problems with this update in the support article. Details can be found in the relevant support article.
