[German]Adobe has released an update for the Flash Player on December 8, 2020, which raises it to version 32.0.0.465. This is the last update of the Flash Player. Here is some information about this update.
Support for the Adobe Flash Player will end on December 31, 2020 (see also the blog post Adobe Flash: End-of-Live date again announced). In the release notes Adobe writes:
Today marks the final scheduled release of Flash Player for all regions outside of Mainland China. […]
Adobe will no longer support Flash Player after December 31 2020, and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12 2021; Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.
Some users may continue to see reminders from Adobe to uninstall Flash Player from their system. Please see our Flash Player EOL General Information page for more details and links to instructions for those that would like to uninstall Flash Player manually.
According to this page, Adobe has updated Flash Player to version 32.0.0.455. This is the final update and Flash has reached the end of life.
Flash at Microsoft
Microsoft is therefore also updating the Flash Player for Windows. The colleagues from deskmodder.de write here that the Internet Explorer and the old Edge will stay on the old version 32.0.0.445. For Windows 8 – 10 and the server counterparts there was already in October the update KB4577586 to remove the Flash-Player. I wrote something about this in the following article. From January 2020 the update will be distributed automatically. We will have to see if there are still installation leftovers (from add-ons).
