[German]There is no end to the disruption of the Microsoft cloud service outlook.com. Since March 1, 2025, the cloud services (Exchange Online, outlook.com, outlook.de etc.) have been experiencing repeated outages. The status is also disrupted on March 13 and 14, 2025.
Checked the status page
I just queried the international disruption site downdetector.com regarding the Outlook status and got a display corresponding to the following image from March 12, 2025.
There have been a number of service disruption reports for days, although the volume of disruptions is low. Disruptions were also reported on allestoerungen.de on March 13, 2025, albeit on a very small scale.
The status page of Office also reports on March 14, 2025 the same message as the picture above. Issues with outlook.com are currently confirmed. The details also state that users may no longer be able to access their emails via the native Mail app on iOS devices.
Microsoft's reports from March 13 and 14
A reader on BlueSky sent me the following German screenshot with an excerpt from a Microsoft message. It states on March 14, 2025 that users receive error messages and a non-delivery report (NDR) when sending emails. The error specified is "554 5.6.0 Corrupted message content.".
It is also mentioned that users may not be able to receive emails with attached files if Exchange Online is involved. Workaround since sending the attachments as ZIP files.
Microsoft says that it has rolled out a fix that works for 95 percent of customers. However, it is admitted that this fix does not quite have the expected effect.
The message states on March 7, 2025 that a recent service update to improve message transport services encountered a code issue that affected part of the service infrastructure. Furthermore, a user sent me the following screenshot of today's status update.
Service disruptions with Exchange Online are also reported there under EX1030895. In this comment, a user has posted references to two Exchange Online messages from Microsoft:
EX1030895: Exchange Online Service Health Advisory
EX1027675: Exchange Online Service Health Incident
These messages also address the Non-Delivery Reports (NDRs) mentioned above. Here is the message:

It looks as if there are more serious problems there. In the blog post Vulnerability cause of Exchange Online and MS 365 problems since March 1, 2025? I summarized certain observations from various sources and reported that users observed that mailboxes in Exchange Online tenants were disappearing. I contacted Microsoft on March 12, 2025 regarding a specific incident surrounding the disappearing mailboxes and asked for a statement. Similar to my March 4 request to Microsoft's German press department, I have not received any feedback so far.
