USB Intel Microcode Boot Loader for Spectre mitigation
[German]Intel offers a Microcode Boot Loader that creates a bootable USB stick. It automatically applies the latest Intel microcodes to the identified CPU during boot. This should protect the system from Spectre vulnerabilities.
VMware: Updates for ESX-Server
Just a not for administrators who are responsible for VMware ESX servers. Thcompany released various updates. Among other things, microcode updates to close the Spectre/Meltdown vulnerabilities are included.
Google Chrome 64: Security Fixes, Spectre Mitigation, Ad-Blocker
[German]Google developers released Google Chrome 64 for Android, Linux, macOS and Windows. The new version closes 53 security holes, includes protection against Spectre attacks and comes with an improved ad blocker.
