Do you have a smartphone or tablet PC with Android? Are there any difficulties with getting started? This book provides a remedy by explaining and introducing Android (KitKat and Lollipop) and its handling step by step.
Android devices are more popular than ever, and the older generation is also increasingly using tablets and smartphones with this operating system. But as practical as these all-rounders are, they are complex and sophisticated to handle, especially for inexperienced computer users. If you are holding such a device in your hands for the first time, you need the right instructions.

Note: The book reflects the Android environment present when writing the manuscript. Google not only releases new Android versions, but also updates the described apps often within a few weeks. At best, these updates will only fix bugs in the apps. Sometimes, however, labels or commands change and occasionally the operation is also adjusted. Of course, the book can never depict such changes that occur after printing. In most cases, however, as an Android user, you should also get along with the instructions in the book with newer app versions.

Small supplement: In the book, the app or the service WhatsApp for communication is also presented. WhatsApp will be free in the first year, but it will be free in the second year. Year 89 Euro cents in annual fee will be due. When writing the manuscript in January 2015, this was still true. A few days ago, the WhatsApp founder announced that after the acquisition by Facebook, there will be no more annual fees for WhatsApp use. Today I received a notification on my smartphone that WhatsApp is free to use for life.
